Mazda Announces Plans for Four New Redesigns

Over the next three years, Mazda fans are going to see not one, not two, not even three, but four new redesigned new Mazda models. The catch? Quite frankly, there isn't one. After releasing the Takeri concept and an all-new design language called "KODO: Soul of Motion," the automaker decided to keep going with production of innovative material.

First of the models to get revamped will be the recently unveiled Mazda CX-5. As the third model to join the CX family, the CX-5 will also be the smallest. Following this SUV, the automaker will release redesigns of the MAZDA3, Mazda MX-5 Miata and Mazda CX-9. But the most exciting part is that all models will bear the fruit of the new design platform which will transform both the vehicles' interior and exterior. That means drivers will enjoy increased power, much lighter bodies and improved fuel-economy while traveling in a vehicle that is alluring and subtly strong. The design also places emphasis on giving the image of motion even when the vehicle is standing still. Oh, and did we mention the platform is completely exclusive to Mazda? No more sharing with a certain blue oval if you know what we mean...

Once Mazda finishes checking off its upgrade list in 2014, the automaker will spend the following two years working on such initiatives as stop-start, regenerative braking and hybrid technologies. With all these plans in the works, it may seem hard to stay updated. No need to worry though, Walser Mazda has you covered. We are dedicated to bringing you all Mazda news as it comes in.
